Many of my art pieces have stories behind them.  In this new blog, I will be sharing these stories with you each month. Are you wondering what the story may be behind your favorite?  Contact me and let me know. I will write about it in a future blog post. This month’s story is short and sweet:  Summer Home – Colorado

Summer Home- Colorado was inspired by a conversation I overheard when I was 12 years old. Jack Fowler, the owner of Eldorado Canyon before it became a State Park, was explaining to my parents that the Ute Indians used to set up their summer camp at the mouth of the canyon. Then come winter, they would move back into the canyon for protection from the weather elements.

You can read more about the history of Eldorado Canyon here. More about Jack Fowler and his Family here.
