Meet Don Woodard

Don is an internationally recognized artist that has the unique ability to hand carve very detailed, relief images into select woods, then skillfully paint the carvings to create works of fine art. His artworks are inspired from first-hand, personal experiences, travels, and activities. Subject matter includes wildlife, landscapes, buildings and structures, floral, people, as well as western themes.

His wildlife and many of his landscape artworks were inspired from visiting our National Parks, National Monuments, and the Rocky Mountains either by foot, by horseback, by motorcycle, or by vehicle. Most of his western images were inspired from his many years of leading packhorse trips into the Rocky Mountain Wilderness.

Don’s artworks are available at Art Museum and Art Center exhibitions, as well as for individual and commercial collectors, and are also available in many juried art shows at leading Art Galleries.
