Aloha! I created this 3-piece collection of Hawaiian art to benefit the people of Lahaina. This collection will be gifted to the Maui Pono Foundation, a grassroots organization created to help their neighbors, friends, and community with rebuilding Lahaina. The collection was inspired by my many visits to the islands, beginning in 1969 when I was a student at the University of Hawaii.

Each piece in this collection is a unique 3-dimensional painting, which I also refer to as “Fine Art in Wood.” I hand-carve each image into select woods, finishing them with intricate painting that brings each scene to life. My artwork and technique are internationally known.

Hawaii has been a special place for my family for decades, and the fire in Lahaina feels like the loss of an old friend. I create my art with love and memories of Hawaii, often working to the sound of Hawaiian music cranked up in my studio while getting completely immersed in the whole process. It is an honor to contribute in some way to the rebuilding of a place that means so much to me.
