Malaya Woodard has created a series of portraits of very well-known people in the entertainment industry. People of all ages have recognized the celebrities and have been amazed and appreciate the quality of the portraits.

Meet Malaya Woodard
Malaya often creates images of people that are well known and recognized, such as entertainers, musicians, and actors and people in the public domain. She strives to capture the mood, character, and personality of each person she draws.
Malaya uses graphite pencils to layout and draw her images, generally using her cell phone to find the images she wants to draw. She does not use a computer nor a projector to aid in her layouts.
She has been recognized by several celebrities of which she created portraits. The entertainer named SZA posted Malaya’s portrait of her on her own Instagram site and 1.4 million of SZA’s followers “Liked” the drawing. Malaya stated, “that’s pretty exciting!”
